Karen Yee - Featured Artist for July
Karen is a many-time local and national award winning artist for her realistic acrylic paintings.
Her profound painting “Fight Like A Girl” was selected for the Manhattan Arts International “Celebrate The Healing Power of Art”, online exhibition in 2014 and won the First Place Cash Award. It was juried by Lilly Wei, New York based art critic for Art in America and ARTNews.
Having been born in an artistic environment Karen Yee has always expressed her creativity in different ways. However, it wasn’t until 2003 that she formally entered the world of fine art after her survival from cancer. The artists states, “This was the impetus that propelled me to explore my long held desire to paint.”
Karen Yee is a member of the International Guild of Realism, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, the El Segundo Art Association, a signature member of The International Society of Acrylic Painters, an associate artist member of the California Art Club, and a board member for the Torrance Artists’ Guild.
